Tank Construction: Texas     Metal     Tanks     manufactures     both     traditional     galvanized     steel cisterns   and   stainless   steel   cisterns.      The   galvanized   steel   tanks   are   G-90 grade   20   gauge   metal   made   in   the   USA.      We   do   not   import   foreign   steel.     The   top   is   22   gauge.      After   the   tank   is   constructed,   a   paint   /   epoxy   lining is    applied    to    the    interior    of    the    tank    to    provide    a    protective    barrier between   the   water   and   the   metal   itself.      This   product   is   FDA   approved for   potable   (drinking)   water   applications   and   is   ANSI   /   NSF   61   certified.     Each   tank   is   tested   at   the   factory   to   ensure   that   it   is   watertight.      With almost   90   years   of   history,   these   tanks   have   a   typical   lifespan   of   30   -   35 years.  Galvanized tanks have a one-year warranty. We   also   manufacture   type   304   stainless   steel   cisterns.      The   sidewall   and bottom   are   20   gauge   and   the   top   is   22   gauge,   all   from   domestic,   US steel.      We   use   stainless   steel   rivets   in   the   construction   process   making them   more   durable.      The   tanks   utilize   a   FDA   approved   NSF   61   certified sealant   on   the   inside.      Stainless   steel   tanks   are   actually   an   alloy   -   the addition    of    chromium    to    the    steel    greatly    increases    the    corrosion resistance   of   the   metal.      Stainless   steel   tanks   will   generally   maintain   the same   look   throughout   their   lifespan.      A   stainless   steel   tank   should   last   50 years or more and feature a five-year warranty. All tanks suitable for potable (drinking) water. Ordering Information: When   ready   to   order,   call   us   or   email   us .      We   will   answer   any   questions   and email   you   an   estimate   or   an   invoice.      We   ask   for   a   50%   deposit   and   accept credit cards, check, and of course cash. Lead time:  Typically 3 - 4 weeks on standard tanks. Fittings:   Most   tanks   take   three   fittings   -   an   inlet,   an   outlet,   and   an   overflow.     Prices   above   only   include   one   bulkhead   connection   for   an   outlet.      All   other fittings are optional.   Inlet:      Options   include   3"   or   4"   male   PVC   adapter   or   a   basket.      The   PVC adapter   goes   in   the   side   of   the   tank   on   the   side.      Connect   3"   or   4"   schedule 40   PVC.      The   basket   comes   in   two   sizes,   12"   or   16".      This   is   inserted   in   the top   of   the   tank   near   the   edge.      With   a   basket,   you   can   spin   the   top   so   that the   basket   is   under   a   downspout.      With   the   basket   positioned   correctly, secure the top in place.   Overflow:      Options   include   3"   or   4"   male   PVC   adapter.      The   overflow   sticks out   about   2".      You   can   leave   it   as   is,   extend   it,   or   run   pvc   pipe   to   the   ground and direct the overflow as appropriate.   Outlet:      Options   include   3/4",   1   1/4",   or   2"   PVC   bulkhead   connection.      This watertight   seal   is   threaded.      Most   tanks   1000   gallons   or   less   get   a   3/4" bulkhead.      This   allows   you   to   screw   in   a   3/4"   spigot.      Attach   a   hose   and   you can   gravity   feed   the   water   to   your   garden   or   trees.      If   you   are   going   to pressurize   the   water   with   a   pump,   or   may   do   so   in   the   future,   choose   an   1 1/4"  or 2" bulkhead.  You can always reduce it with a bushing. Inspection port: A 12" inspection hatch can be added to any tank for $50. Download the Inlet / Outlet Form Here or, Fill out an Online Form Delivery    /    Pick    up:        We    can    deliver    tanks    within    250    miles    of    Dripping Springs   on   our   trailer.      We   also   ship   tanks   UPS   or   use   a   dedicated   trailer especially   for   customers   further   away.      Fees   based   on   distance,   quantity, and   size.      For   UPS   shipments,   we   can   wrap   tanks   in   cardboard   and   place   on a   pallet.      Be   forewarned:   Shipping   is   very   expensive   and   can   cost   as   much as the tank, especially for small tanks. You   may   also   pick   up   your   tank   at   our   factory   in   Dripping   Springs,   TX.      Pick up   times   must   be   scheduled   in   advance   and   you   should   bring   at   least   six straps   -   three   for   the   tank   and   three   for   the   top.      The   top   is   only   held   on   by four   screws   and   tanks   do   not   ship   with   the   top   screwed   on!      Tanks   over 1000   gallons   are   transported   upright   and   will   not   fit   in   a   standard   pick   up. 1000   gallon   or   less   can   transport   on   their   side   and   will   fit   in   a   full   size   pick up,   although   the   tailgate   may   have   to   be   lowered.      Please   make   sure   your tank will fit in your truck / trailer.   Sales Tax:  There is no sales tax in Texas for rainwater tanks.  Questions?  Call or Email Us!!! 512-565-0875 sales@TexasMetalTanks.com
